The RAD-3 accommodates a wide range of professional shotgun microphones within its 19-25mm diameter specification. Compatible models include the Sennheiser MKH416, MKH8060, and MKE600 series, as well as Schoeps CMIT 5, SuperCMIT, and MiniCMIT microphones. Additional compatibility extends to the Sanken CS-3, Rode NTG-3, and DPA 2017 and 4017 models.

The system functions effectively with slide-on fur windshields attached to the front of shotgun microphones, maintaining isolation performance while accommodating standard wind protection accessories. This compatibility ensures seamless integration into existing recording workflows without requiring specialized windscreen modifications.
